New Series Slip Sheet Handler - 15/06/2012

SMC's new slip sheet handler has joined our range alongside our ever popular keg handling clamp. The UK's use of slip sheets is still in our opinion in its infancy , but with ever increasing costs associated with the use of pallets, SMC fully believe its only a matter of time before they become an everyday necessity.

Octuple Overhead Block Clamp - 23/12/2011

For over a decade SMC have supplied a prestige block manufacturer with quad pack handling attachments. The proven longevity and durability have resulted in many repeat orders. However the added productivity of quad pack handling wasn't enough for this customer , so they requested double deep quad pack handling attachments. The L254CRIE block clamp lifts 8 Packs , 6000Kg of product in one lift. Featuring the same split as the previous quad pack L189CRIE, the gap is maintained between packs enabling vehicle mounted grabs to access individual packs. Following initial supply and trials of two of these units the customer has gone on to order a fleet of these attachments.

Drop Bottom Bucket (Bageeze) ''Just In Time'' - 27/03/2010

For many years SMC have produced a drop bottom bucket sometimes refered to in the industry as a Bageeze. However sales have recently gathered pace as our customers realise the full potential of being able to bag there own aggregate.

Many sites traditionally accepted delivery of pre-bagged product which came at a premium. Now however customers owning a drop bottom bucket can take delivery of bulk aggregate and bag it themselves without the need of a hopper.

Often the speed at which the unit can bag results in bagging needing only to be carried as an when required, 'Just In Time'.

Do you need to empty an IBC ? - 20/03/2010

If so we have the solution

SMC have supplied a second rotating jaw arm unit with special IBC handling cradles after succesful supply one year earlier.

Our customers highly succesful recycling business has grown to the point were a second unit was required for this specific requirement. The second unit was fitted to a bigger truck and included an upgrade to a larger chassis as well as special solid construction arms, and high load jaw arm.

The design of the cradle enables standard drums to be handled as well as the IBC's without piercing the polythen inner container. The larger unit also features a pallet retainer which due increased torque can rotate the IBC from the underside.
