30,000 Kg Hydraulic Spreader Beam - 07/03/2009

Following supply of a number of hydraulic spreader beams to a overseas customer, they requested we manufacture them a spreader for a 50,000 Kg fork lift truck. This spreader beam was to have a capacity of 30,000 Kg and be capacble of lifting this mass with a spread range over the forks of 10 to 20 Metres. The resulting unit that was manufactured for this applcation had a self weight of 18,000 Kg. Since the supply of this attachment SMC have gone on to supply a 25,000 Kg with a 7 - 14 metre spread to the same customer.

Site Waste Management Solution - 24/02/2009

SMC have recently solved a waste disposal problem encountered on large building developments. The requirement for wheeled bins to be emptied quickly and efficiently into larger skips for removal from site has been resolved by using a rotating pallet fork clamp with specially designed slip-on shoes. The shoes can be removed to enable the attachment to handle standard pallets.

Concrete Tube Clamps - 09/02/2009

SMC have manufactured a number of paper roll clamp type units for handling concrete tubes. There larger diameter range and capacities enable them to pick and rotate heavy concrete tubes with ease. Thick rubber facing protects the tube from damage.

New Clamp For New Zealand - 09/02/2009

Our international customer base extends as far as it is possible, demonstrated by our recent supply of a Tippling Slab Handler for a customer in New Zealand. The unit was based on a previous unit designed for handling tunnel segments, however, this particular application was for handling slabs of marble.

Anode Clamps For The Middle East - 09/02/2009

SMC have for many years been supplying attachments for handling anodes to aluminium smelting plants in the Middle East. It was therefore our pleasure to supply three new attachments into a brand new smelting plant in a near by region.
