Standard Compression Test Ram
Overview
Our standard compression test rams are designed with varying lengths and varying ends to suit our varied attachment.
In addition we have a range of stands for supporting the test rams for single handed operation.
Our test ram is basically a single acting hydrauic cylinder with the feed port closed off with a pressure gauge.
Squeezing the test ram gives a pressure reading that by knowing the bore of the test ram the force can be determined.
In addition squeezing and holding the test ram for a predetermined period gives an indication of the condition of the hydraulic circuit by virtue of pressure loss.
Carrying out a scheduled inspection should ideally form part of a Quality system as the attachments safe operation as well as reducing the risk of product damage are both affected by the condition of the clamping circuit.
