Attachment Derations
Overview
Whenever any forklift attachments are added to a counterbalance fork lift truck, the weight of the attachment, and the new center of gravity, will reduce the lift capacity. In addition to this the attachment will have its own thickness which pushes the load forward away from the fulcrum of the fork lift truck there by reducing the weight the truck can counterbalance.
The fulcrum is the front axle, and our deration calculator works back to the axle centre by use of predertimed tables of existing fork lift trucks. If you find when using the calculator your truck is not listed then send us your truck details and we will add it to our database.
To access the deration calculator make a selection in the specification section of the chosen attachment. The deration calculator is activated when you click on the view calculator button at the end of the row.
