Refurbishment Service

SMC charge an estimate fee of £130 + transportation, For this we will thouroughly inspect the donor attachment and produce a quotation for the full refurbishment of your attachment.

SMC's refurbishment service includes the following (unless exceptions apply see quote):

• Waiver of the estimate cost.
• Complete strip down of attachment.
• Shot blasting of major components
• Paint stripping of remaining sprayed components.
• Thorough Inspection of all the components for wear / damage
• Crack detection examination of load bearing welds, followed by rectification where applicable
• Replacement or repair of defective items.
• Also regardless of condition replacement of all:
  • Bearings, hydraulic seals, hydraulic hoses.
  • Critical fasteners.
  • Rubber Facings/Pads
  • Forks / Tines where applicable
• Hydraulic cylinder tubes will be inspected for scoring and replaced if necessary
• Cylinder rods will be examined over their working length for defects and will be replaced if necessary.
• Full Re-spray.
• New Rating Plate
• Hydraulic Pressure Test
• Load Test
• 12 Month Warranty (may only apply to SMC manufacture attachments, consult SMC).
• Documentation Pack (SMC Attachments Only) including:
  • Load Test Certificate
  • Certificate Of Conformity
  • Part Manual
  • Service Instructions
  • Operators Instructions

In the case our quotation is not of interest, we will endeavour to return the equipment in the condition it was supplied, however it may well be returned in a dismantled state if it is impractical to reassemble it. SMC do not take any responsibility for the units fitness for purpose on its return.

If it is possible to put it into service, the unit should be re-tested by a suitable person.
